Julia Paula, a Roman noblewoman, became the wife of Emperor Elagabalus in 219 AD, in a political marriage meant to strengthen his legitimacy. She was granted the title of Augusta but was soon divorced in 220 when the emperor chose a new wife. After the separation, she vanished from public life and was no longer mentioned in official records.
