Pierre-Antoine Berryer (1790–1868) was a renowned lawyer, orator, and royalist politician in France. A staunch defender of the throne and the Catholic faith, he notably represented prominent royalist figures such as Marshal Ney and Prince de Polignac. He served as a deputy for Haute-Loire, sitting with the Legitimists during the July Monarchy, and later under the Second Republic and the Second Empire. A brilliant speaker, he was elected to the Académie Française in 1854. His career exemplifies loyalty to the monarchy during a time of political upheaval in France.
