Silver tetradrachm struck under Ptolemy VIII, King of Egypt, minted around 137–136 BC at the Citium (Kition) mint in Cyprus.
The Citium mint (Kition in Greek), located in Cyprus, was one of the island’s major coin-producing centers during the Ptolemaic dynasty, particularly in the 3rd and 2nd centuries BC. It played a key role in the regional monetary network established by the Lagid rulers.
