The Trau collection is one of the great collection of Roman’s coins. It was built by 3 generations :
- Carl Trau (1811-1887)
- Franz Trau Senior (1842-1905)
- Franz Trau Junior (1881-1931)
The collection was sold by Adolph Hess AG in may 22th 1935. Our coin was the lot number 414 it was bought by Oscar Ravel ( French coin’s dealer) for 85 Schilling (around 16$).
