Description
Archelaus I was king of Macedonia from 413 to 399 BC. He modernized the army, strengthened infrastructure, and reorganized the kingdom following the Greek model. He promoted the arts, attracting figures such as Euripides and Zeuxis to his court. His reign marked the beginning of Macedonia’s rise to power.
