Description

Peroz I (459–484) was a king of the Sassanian Empire, succeeding Yazdgird II. His reign was marked by conflicts with the Hephthalites and internal tensions. He pursued the centralization of the state and the strengthening of Zoroastrianism. Despite military defeats, he maintained notable administrative stability. His coins often feature his stylized portrait with Zoroastrian symbols.
