Description

Orbiana became empress when she married Severus Alexander in 225 AD, while he was still very young. Although Orbiana was given the title of Augusta (empress), her position was fragile, largely due to tensions with Julia Mamaea.

In 227, just two years after her marriage, Orbiana was stripped of her title of Augusta. Her father was executed, and she herself was exiled to the province of Libya.
