As of Emperor Tiberius featuring the Altar of the Three Gauls. Coin struck at Lugdunum around AD 12–14. This altar stood on the slopes of the Croix-Rousse hill, beneath the present-day Gros Caillou district. The columns of the altar were cut in half around the 11th century and reused in the construction of the central nave of the Abbey of Ainay.
