Reverse legend

TR POT COS II P P

In the autumn of 99, Trajan returned to Rome. Even though his two-year absence was aimed at securing peace on the northern frontiers and not due to a war against the Germans, Trajan’s return was celebrated as if it were a victory. However, the event was devoid of grandeur. He settled in Rome modestly, without any display of his power.
