Description
Decimus Junius Brutus Albinus was a Roman general at the end of the Republic. A close associate of Julius Caesar for many years, he later turned against him and joined the conspiracy that led to his assassination. Born into the Junia family, he was adopted into the Postumia family, from which he took the name Albinus. He was one of the principal conspirators in the murder of Julius Caesar, although he was largely overshadowed in historical memory by his more famous namesake, Marcus Junius Brutus.
