Feudal Coin Struck for Brabant under Charles the Bold, circa 1468–1474 Silver Double Patard of fine quality.
Charles the Bold (1433–1477) was the last Duke of Burgundy from the Valois line. He ruled over a vast territory, including Brabant, which he sought to unite into an independent kingdom between France and the Holy Roman Empire. Ambitious and warlike, he met his end at the Battle of Nancy in 1477, marking the fall of the Burgundian State.
