Description
Eighth écu of the King of France, Henri IV. The date is difficult to read — we are leaning toward 1603, but it could also be an 8. In any case, a very rare coin: 1603 is rated R5 and not priced in the Gadoury, and 1608 is unrecorded.
The master’s mark is that of Jean Nogaret.
