One perper coin minted in 1912 under Nicholas I, King of Montenegro. At that time, the Kingdom of Montenegro did not have its own infrastructure for producing high-quality metal coinage. It therefore relied on Austrian expertise, especially since the Montenegrin perper was pegged to the value of the Austro-Hungarian crown.
