Depaulis Alexis-Joseph (1790-1867)
Alexis-Joseph Depaulis (1790–1867) was a renowned French sculptor and medallist.
Trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, he created many historical medals, notably for the “Galerie métallique des grands hommes français.”
Knighted in the Legion of Honour in 1834, his works are held in the Louvre and the École des Beaux-Arts.
