Provenance: MDC Monaco sale 9, lot 43<\/a> \/ Piolaine Hoard<\/a> (2011) dispersed at Drouot on 5 March 2020.<\/p>\r\n

This specimen comes from the Piolaine hoard discovered in 2011 at Saint-Aubin-du-Pavail, part of which entered the MAN (ref. 6579\u20137066), while the owner\u2019s share was dispersed at Drouot on 5 March 2020. The esse<\/i> issuing from the charioteer\u2019s mouth is quite exceptional and appears in the published portion of the hoard in the Mus\u00e9e des Antiquit\u00e9s Nationales on only four examples (nos. 7042, 7044\u20137045, and 7056)<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
