This type of coinage is generally attributed to Domitian, due to the privileged place occupied by Minerve in his iconography. Indeed, the goddess appears twice: on the right, through the portrait of the emperor placed under her protection, and on the reverse, symbolised by the owl, her emblematic animal.
These anonymous quadrans can be compared to issues with similar characteristics but explicitly bearing Domitian's name. The type of reverse, in particular, is found on several occasions on quadrans of this emperor featuring the bust of Pallas (RIC 429 and 430), which reinforces this attribution.
