Silver tetrobol struck in the city of Acanthus in Macedonia, coinage issued circa 424–380 BC. Bull with head turned backward.

Acanthus (Akanthos) was an ancient Greek city located in Chalcidice, on the northern coast of the Aegean Sea. Founded by colonists from Andros in the 7th century BC, it became a prosperous port thanks to its trade and natural resources. The city retained regional importance until the Hellenistic period.
